AD Domain Printer on Ubuntu
My University has an AD domain (no surprise there) along with network printer.
To access the printers in windows, we type in \\[printer server], it asks for our credentials and then the list of printers comes up. Of course, to add them to the windows computer we right click and add.
I searched on here (and the Internet) for how to do this with ubuntu. What I find is information on how to connect to a simple windows printer share - ie - sharing the printer on your windows desktops.
I did take an inventory of the printers I use around campus and the drivers are all available for Ubuntu so that's good. Not entirely sure what to do next.
Last night, my friend, who knows significantly more than me about Linux, tried getting them to work. We ended up getting samba installed but that's about as far as we got ...
Also thought I would add that I am running Ubuntu Netbook Remix 9.04 ... so there may be some packages that I need to install
