Problems Installing
I used a wipe cd to wipe my hard drive, and now I set my computer to boot from my cd drive with the Ubuntu boot cd in it yet after the Ubuntu loader finishes my screen goes blank, and there are no options to do anything. I seriously have no clue what to do, and hope that while wiping my hard drive that I did it correctly.

If you haven't done so already, I'd recommend trying the Ubuntu "alternate installer" CD. It's text-based and always works for me whereas the liveCD installers give various problems:

Why is that? Other distro's LiveCDs give minimal problems while Ubuntu's give major ones. :-/
