i just started with linux a couple days ago this is how far i got.
im quite happy with it Ubuntu after a couple problems in beginning, anyway here is a picture of my dekstop.

i installed Ktorrent(utorrent in windows), also installed limewire i couldnt find another that would work with linux. vlc, amsn these programs pritty much do what i need to do. Unfortunatly i do have to dual boot XP cause igot visual studio 2008 installed also dreamweaver, and countless games, cod4, cod5, starcraft, warcraft..

But that is a pretty nice Desktop you got there, glad you are enjoying Linux. Just FYI, try looking into GTK-Gnutella, it's much much better and faster than Limewire will ever dream of being.I do not respond to private messages asking for Linux help, Please keep it on the forums only.

im gonna look into it asap i did notice limewire be realy slow. KK so now how do i remove limewire tried searching "limewire" in add and remove and could not find.

That's because Limewire uses Java, ugh, 'nuff said.

Hey cool desktop, can u tell me what theme that is and how you got the clear terminal window?

I prefer frostwire to limewire. Theres also a program called gtk-gnutella which is similar but does not use java.
Your ubuntu looks cool BTW

open terminal>Edit>Profile Preferences>Background its at the bototm click on transparent background to activate it and then select the desired transperency
as for the black theme i used emerald theme manager and installed 76025--hybrid grey neu type this into google like this "76025--hybrid grey neu" with the quotes and im sure u will be able to find it.

Sorry You said open terminal, but didnt give the commands needed.
Can you tell me in noobie terms how to get these clear panels? Glass efect like that please?
And what dock is that?
