Cedega problems
so i downloaded Cedega 7 of a torrent site and i installed it after that i had to follow instructions on how to make it work for me.
1) Go to The Cedega Gaming Service - Play PC games on Linux and sign up for the free trial (you don't have to pay just sign up or it won't work).
2) Once signed up install the RPM/DEB/TGZ for your system.
3) Start up Cedega and let it update to the latest UI. Installing the engine will fail cause you haven't paid
4) Install the Spore Trial
5) Copy the winex-7 folder to: ~/.cedega/.winex_ver
step 5 i didnt really didnt know where exactly to copy it but i copied it to usr>lib>cedega>created folder called "winex_ver">pased that info in
the problem im having is when i try to install a game that cedega says works good on it i get the error msg "Failed to launch installer process."
any ideas guys?

"~" means "$HOME" or your home folder. For you that would mean the correct target directory is
/home/donald/.cedega/.winex_ver
Files and folders starting with a "." are hidden, so you will not be able to see them unless you check "Show Hidden Files" in your file manager settings. The leading dot is however part of the file name and you can't get away with not using it.

Sometimes you just have to type the command in a terminal window and hope the output gives you a clue as to why.
The WineHQ AppDB occasionally has clues as to how to get a stubborn program running.
