    Automatix ?

I had a major failure and had to reinstall Ubuntu. It's been 2-3 years since I did this, but one thing I do remember is that Automatix is CRUCIAL to my install of Ubuntu. What happened to this? What do I do now? Automatix installed everything that anyone would need to have a good Ubuntu experience, This is not just an opinion, but a known FACT. My wife is freaking out because she can't get into her Farmtown on Facebook without flash or what ever it uses.
I'm lost, what is Automatix's replacement?

It was called Automatix. It has since been replaced by Ultamatix although Ubuntu has instructions for installing most 3rd party software on their wiki.

Well, just for anyone visiting now - I'll point out that the Automatix family were retired, they messed up synaptic.

Ubuntu Tweak does a better job, and I think it's friendlier with synaptic - though if you use it to add sources, you might get problems with keys (as of Sept 2009).

I cleaned up my sources list, and used ubuntu tweak as a reference - but searched and added repositories myself.
