    help with madwifi to ath5k code change

    how do i change (madwifi driver)
    wlanconfig ath0 create wlandev wifi0 wlanmode ap

    to a (ath5k)

    i awsome i need to use the "iw" command

    somthing close to this

    iw mon0 interface add wlan0 type ap


    PLEASE HELP.

    The Madwifi driver and the ath5k driver are two completely different drivers. They can't even be loaded at the same time, as it will result in the wireless not working.

    The Madwifi driver is depreciated, and development has all but stopped. All development is now put into the ath5k/ath9k family of drivers.

    i know they are diffrent! i was asking what command i use for ath5k that is similar to wlanconfig??

    I don't know what the wlanconfig command does, but maybe the iwconfig command is what you want.
