Problems burning .iso files to DVD

Ok so I have .avi .mpeg and other various video files that I want to get to dvd and be able to watch so I downloaded DeVeDe which converts the files to .iso to get ready to be burned to dvd. I converted the files and went to burn to dvd in K3B and got an input output error and it didn't complete I have tried a few times now and have tried with brasero and still the same error. Oh and btw when I converted the files I made them ntsc format and when I burn them im burning them to dual layer dvd r discs. Any help anyone can give me with this would be much appreciated.

Dual-Layer may be your issue. It works with some apps and is flaky or unsupported in others.

It's supposed to work good for K3B (KDE application). For apps that depend on cdrecord, the devs were supposedly to dump cdrkit (a broken fork of cdrtools) for the original cdrtools code as of 9.04, but I have no idea if they got to it in time or not.

    Check the output of
    cdrecord --version

If it is less than 2.01.01a32, you may want to try upgrading from source.
