Simply, Install from PenDrive

Boot and run Linux from a USB flash memory stick | USB Pen Drive Linux

You can also use UNetbootin - Homepage and Downloads which works on Windows too, It can create USB bootable of many distros.
Or get a Ubuntu CD, put it in some one else's computer, Boot in Live.
Then Plug-in your PenDrive.
Go to System > Administration > Crease USB Startup Disk.
and Create a bootable pendrive.
btw, and your computer should have ability to boot from USB.

yeah,
some people call them all different things.
eg:
memory stick
usb
usb key
usb drive
and the list goes on...

My friend have an USB Drive which looks like cockroach, thats kind of super weird.
