    Sudden sound problem with Kino

I've been using Kino for some time now (on this machine) and it has been working without a problem. All of a sudden it has developed a sound problem. It plays the video in slow motion, and the sound is staccato. It's as if the import failed somehow.

The only reason I'm still using Kino is I'm in the middle of a project (series of DVDs) and need to maintain the quality (even if it is moderate quality).

Also, this machine is still running 8.10 because I've found that in 9.04 Kino has a sound sync problem.

Any help on these problems would be great! I just need to use Kino for a few more months, then I'm swapping to Kdenlive.

I don't know if this is related, but I just tried to restart the machine, and it failed to cycle through properly. I hit the reboot button and it came back with no sound at all. Nothing.

Ok, I found a fix for the sound out of sync problem...

    Linux Digital Video

Did this on another box running 9.04, imported a vid and no problemo.

I've gone and put up my ASLA archicecture here:

Can anyone help me understand what it means? Are there any problems?
