    Scanner support (HP Scanjet )

I am running 9.04 and looking for a method of getting my scanner to work. (HP Scanjet 4670)
It is not supported by sane.

    Has anyone found a solution.

I don't want to get a new scanner because this one is ideal for table top work scanning in maps.
you can see through it to position it exactly in the right place.

    Regards, Yorkie.

    Try your luck on HPLIP

Best option for HP Printers and Scanners.

However It uses SANE, but HP supports some products too.
    Never make any misteaks.

I've been in touch with HP and they don't support Linux for this product.
They suggest I use a Windows computer to use the scanner.
I have replied and asked them if they will be willing to co-operate with open source to help them produce a driver.
What do you think the answer will be?

    Yorkie.
