Thumbs down IOGEAR KVM not working

I have two towers where I am running XP on one and Ubuntu Jaunty Jackelope on the other. I have a KVM switch (Keyboard, Video, Mouse) and it works fine with the XP machine, but when I try and switch over to Ubuntu I get the Monitor out of range message. I tried to boot Ubuntu with the KVM and ubuntu will start up it will show the screen with the progress bar, but before the log in screen it still shows the Monitor out of range message.
It is definately a problem with the KVM because if i plug those three components directly into the machine itself Ubuntu will work fine. Any suggestions?

    Thumbs down

Okay update, I got the monitor to work by adding ACPI=off to the kernel, but now the keyboard or mouse will not work. The keyboard work's in a sense that when I hit "scroll lock" twice it will switch over to the other machine, but i can't press any other keys, and the mouse will not work on the ubuntu side, but it works fine on the linux side, as well as the keyboard.
