Firefox dont open...

Hello, i just transfered my desktop to Ubuntu, somo 8 hours ago. Everything was fine, until now, that the firefox just dont open...
Since i installed ubuntu, the only thing i've installed was something about mp3 "codecs" or something that the player need to play music. Since that the firefox never open again...

Any sugestions?

Note: I have one other partition that i not formatted, is it possible that some kind of malware where there and migrated to ubuntu? I know that this is silly but i had the same problem on XP before...

You can try starting fire fox from a terminal window and see if it gives you an error message.
