[SOLVED] Wireless works with Easy Peasy but not Ubuntu

This is using Easy Peasy 1.5 and Ubuntu 9.04 on the same Eee PC 901. They are installed as a dual boot.

Easy Peasy can connect to my Orange Box (router) fine using the WEP key that it is packaged with it by default. However, Ubuntu tries to connect but eventually fails asking for the key again.

I know very little about wireless networking. What are the differences in wireless with Ubuntu and Easy Peasy?

Easy Peasy ships with drivers, codecs, etc that are on the "restricted" section of Ubuntu.
Have you enabled the proprietary driver from the "Hardware drivers" tool?
I would wait until 29th of October, maybe the 2.6.31 kernel of Ubuntu 9.10 fixes this issue.

Just to give an update it looks like it's more to do with the hardware not communicating with the OS very well. As mentioned on Tombuntu, the kernel has been hacked for the Eee PC.

Following step 4 on th above page fixed this error for me
