    Smile Ubuntu

    I have a question about ubuntu I have 10 gigs set for the installion and got it running download a few things java, k9copy etc. I went and checked the hard drive room I have 1.4 gigs left y is that. Also what can I do about this I have an external hard drive too.

    Ubuntu 9.04
    windows xp
    internal hard drive 1.5 gigs in ubuntu
    internal hard drive 33 gigs in windows xp
    other than this ubuntu is the s***

    You could create a link from your Desktop to the external drive (if there isn't one there already) and use it to keep all your important files and things. Is your home partition on a separate partition than where your root partition is?
