[SOLVED] Can't move an icon for Firefox to the desktop
Using Linux Mint on both a laptop, and a PC (both dual booted with XP)
I simply want to put an icon on the desktop, for Firefox. When I drag and drop the icon from "Menu" to the desktop, it won't let me, and displays the following Message:
Error while moving "firefox.desktop"
There was an error moving the file into /home/ht/Desktop
I have googled it:
ubuntuforums dot org/archive/index.php/t-791584.html
and found an answer regarding files, but I don't know the name of the file to move (and I still don't navigate well among files --newb
Something about permissions
TIA

Solves, Moving Icon
SOLVED, and very easy, and credit goes to someone else, answer below.
I had the exact same problem, but I solved it by removing Firefox from my favourites and then using the search filter in the start menu, I click-and-dragged the Firefox icon to the desktop.
I'm not sure if you can have it both on the desktop and your favourites.
[EDIT] Just tried it, you have to add Firefox to your favourites after getting it on the desktop.
