    Exclamation Ubuntu Restarting

    Hello there i have been using Ubuntu for over a month now and i find it great but i have notice when ever i restart my computer i get an different error mgs (eg grub 18 not working) and ubuntu will not load up. I usually wait 20 minutes and then start it up again and it works fine

    Has anyone else got this problem

    That sounds really really odd.
    I kinda think your harddrive is really old. But well I aint sure. I'd suggest to contact the Grub Developer group.

    Weather it's the hard drive or on your motherboard, it is definitely hardware related. Heat causes things to expand, and hot components expand things unevenly, causing anything from timing issues to outright failures. When it cools or evens out after several minutes, things return to normal (if you're one of the lucky ones).

    If you're getting grub errors, it's probably the hard drive. Run a thorough fsck on it, or better, buy yourself a copy of SpinRite (it's worth it) and test it out with that. You may get lucky, or you may find you need a new hard drive. Good luck.
