Avast Antivirus Scan result : Permission denied

Hi,
I am using Ubuntu 9.04, have downloaded avast antivirus and installed successfully.

Upon scanning, in many files, I got scan result as : Permission denied.

What is the option now for complete scan?

try running as root

Open Terminal and type in

Code:

sudo AvastAV

or

Code:

sudo avastav

or

Code:

sudo avast

Cuz I an not sure of the avast command to launch it in terminal as I don't run Avast.
