    Ubuntu 7.10 reached end of life on April 18th, 2009. It is no longer supported. I recommend installing a newer version.

    I believe Ubuntu archives packages from old release, but I have no idea where they are available.

    A lot of non-free software, such as libdvdcss2 needed to play commercial DVDs, is available from the 3rd party medibuntu repository/

    I have no idea if they maintain packages for unsupported releases.
