    increasing my disk space for ubuntu

    hello everyone
    i have ubuntu 9.04 installed on my system,space which i allocated for ubuntu 9.04 has been consumed. i do have free space left on my system i want that system to be allocated to ubuntu OS as its partition.
    anyone tellhow cani do this

    Boot with the Parted Magic LiveCD and use the partitioning tool on it to expand any partitions as needed.

    Note that you have to have unallocated space right next to the partition that you want to expand, so you'll either have to shrink some partitions to get it, or maybe move some partitions around on the disk so that you have unallocated space next to the partition to be expanded. Parted Magic can handle all of that quite easily.
