Partition Editor doesn't work on ubuntu 9.04 :(

I've installed Partition Editor on my Ubuntu 9.04 because it hasnt had it before in the OS pack. A reason why I'm wiriting here because a function of Resize/ Move doesn't work. What I'm able to do is only Unmount the main partition and after writes me and error:

    Could not unmount /dev/sda1

The partition could not be unmounted from the following mount points:

    /

Most likely other partitions are also mounted on these mount points. You are advised to unmount them manually.

Duno guys, if you have any ideas what i may try

If you want to resize partitions you are better off doing this from a live CD ... Ubuntu live CD or PartedMagic will do

You can't change partitions that are currently mounted and in use. If you need to resize a / partition, you need to use a livecd such as partedmagic as jonathan has suggested.
