Installation Ubuntu Fails
Hi all,
I am all new to Linux, running Vista now, but i wanted to check ubuntu out, and it looks pretty nice from the cd.
I installed this version ubuntu-9.04-desktop-i386 on a new partition alongside with vista. I boot from the cd, installation goes smoothly, then i am asked to remove the cd so my pc will reboot. When i do that the pc reboots to vista without giving me any boot options. When i go to windows explorer the installed Ubuntu folder is nowhere to be found, all i have is an RAW partition, which should be Ubuntu.
What could i have done wrong, anyone?
Thanks in advance,
Regards

Welcome to the forums!
It sounds like the GRUB bootloader didn't get installed during the installation, or it was installed improperly.oz

And what can i do to install it properly? Might the iso be corrupted? I already installed it three times, the first time ubuntu did show up in the list but i was asked for the windows repair cdrom when i wanted to boot ubuntu in stead of vista
