    Screen "Out of Range"

There are several posts already on this topic but I can't find an answer that works for me. I installed Ubuntu with a CRT monitor some time ago and everything was fine. I just replaced that monitor with a new LCD monitor, but after log in my LCD monitor turn black with "Out of Range" message and then nothing else happen.
Can anyone offer step by step guide to fix this problem?

The scan rates are set for your CRT monitor, which your LCD won't support, and probably the resolution as well. If you can login to a text display, you should be able to edit your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file to fix that. If you can't then you'll probably need to boot to a rescue disc. So, can you get to a text login?
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
