Ok. So what exactly is the problem ?
What have you done to solve the problem ?

This is the new install. About the second question, the router is set up correctly.

I am not an Ubuntu user ... but I am going to guess that the Broadcom BCM43xx firmware is not being loaded.

You will find much info on this if you google.

    Hello and welcome.
    This is your wireless card
    01:00.0 Network controller [0280]: Broadcom Corporation BCM4312 802.11b/g [14e4:4315] (rev 01)
    Kernel driver in use: b43-pci-bridge
    Kernel modules: ssb
If you can get a wired connection, you should be able to download the driver under Administration->Hardware Drivers

Unforunately, this version of the card (14e4:4315) does not work quite right yet with the b43 drivers. I think the broadcom wl driver does work with it.

If not, you have to download and build the latest compat-wireless sources.
