    New windows and display size

I am using Ubuntu 9.04 on the Laptop.
    1) Laptop has 15,6" size but Linux shows 15" Is it ok? The screen resolution is correct
    2) The new opened windows shows up under active window, not on? How to change it?

Sorry about my english. And of course I am new in Ubuntu.
    Thanks

    1) This is fine. X uses the detected screen size to scale dpi fonts, and some applications might try to use it when displaying pages or images in "Actual Size." Detecting the screen a half an inch smaller than the correct size is not going to have a very noticeable effect, as long as the actual screen resolution is accurately detected.

    2) I don't run 9 or Gnome, so I don't know exactly where this setting is. There should be a gnome control panel somewhere which will have a feature to control window behavior. I would think you'd find "New Window" behavior control somewhere in there.
