[SOLVED] Can't check boxes in Ubuntu 9.10
Hello there,
I'm really hoping someone can help - no one seems to have the same problem as me. THe problem is that system-wide, I cannot check boxes. For instance, I had to use my Mac to register with this site as I couldn't click the 'I agree' box, and I can't check Compiz on, I can't make Firefox keep me signed in on my Gmail etc etc. It's really quite frustrating, does anyone have any ideas?
I've just upgraded from 9.04 to 9.10 on a Sony Vaio VGN-N21M, everything worked perfectly before the installation, and everything seems ok now, apart from the checkbox thing, which admittedly is a bit of a big deal.
If anyone could help I'd be really grateful!

Sounds quite strange. Sounds like a problem with firefox though. Perhaps re-installing FF? I ditched firefox a while ago for chromium...

No, it's system-wide, which means there's a lot of things I actually can't do right now. It is strange, and very annoying.

might have to do with your theme, try changing it and changing it back

Its a theme related problem only. Switch back to default theme and check boxes will work fine.
Whenever you install new theme, make sure to check its compatibility. Go through Comments section ( if any ) at download page of theme. It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
