Google gears problem in Ubuntu firefox

I need to upload an documentary in youtube which consisit of 32 min duration , and I try mega upload plugin in youtube , and it told me to install Google gears in it , and I tried but poped up this window

Google Gears" could not be installed because it is not compatible with your Firefox build type (Linux_x86-gcc3). Please contact the author of this item about the problem.

I believe firefox doesnt support this , is there any alternative to upload big files in youtube

I have Firefox 3.6.6 on Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty.

Got the following error while installing Google Gears from the official site gears.google##com:

"Google Gears" could not be installed because it is not compatible with your Firefox build type (Linux_x86-gcc3). Please contact the author of this item about the problem.

The following thread resolved my error:

It suggests you to download Google Gears extension from gears64##org/build/05340/3417
Even though I receive the compatibility error message, it works for me.
