mouse issues in 9.10...
Hello,
I recently upgraded to 9.10, and have just bought a new mouse at the same time, a Microsoft IntelliPoint 6.3. I know that the red button on the side is button number 9, but I can't seem to configure the mouse. Any help anyone can offer?

Post the contents of /etc/X11/xorg.conf file here.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

Outside of how to install and load evdev, the rest should be applicable to any distro. In ubuntu the package is called xserver-xorg-input-evdev and I assume is already installed.

Wow, this is more complicated than I thought...
Wow, this is a lot more complicated than I thought. I just want to be able to use the red button on the side to go back and now my scroll wheel doesn't go up and down, it goes side to side and I can't use the red button at all. Ya, I'm a serious newbie here. I mean I get the terminal commands, but something is just not working out. Are there any ways to configure a mouse from the preferences tab? or just a simple terminal command?
Thanks.
