    Boot CD

    Hey,

I've upgraded to karmic Koala at office. But in my laptop I couldn' t do it, coz I have partitioned Windows and Linux on same laptop. Now I wanted to have only Linux.

Last time when I tried to upgraded from boot cd ( Jaunty ) it failed. Provided I downloaded from Ubuntu site and burned the file with ISO image on it to the CD but still the contents of CD didn't work when I tried to install linux in my desktop.

How can I do it, what am I missing? a proper CD burner?

    Help me!

Did you click "Create CD from image" when you burnt the CD?

That's okay. If you look at the contents of the disk there should be many files. If you just have the one you know you've burnt the disk wrong

Most CD burning programmes should be fine. Just make sure you click "Burn CD image" or similar
