    Time and date wont change

The time and date on my taskbar is wrong and wont change. Its about a day and a half behind my system clock ( I checked my bios). I have tried changing it a few times in adminitration but it keeps jumping back.

Anyone got any suggestions? Its a small thing but its kind of bugging me.

    Thanks.

Which version of Ubuntu are you using? Have you tried to disable UTC in Time/Date settings?
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

    Try:

    sudo hwclock --hctosys

This is supposed to set the systm clock to match the BIOS clock.

    Failing that, try

    sudo sntp -r pool.ntp.org
