    pppoe nightmare

I am having problems estabilishing pppoe connection on my ubuntu 9.10( on win 7) working fine

    -i did all that
    pppoeconf
and used correct password and ID: it worked fine ..i downloaded updates rebooted and it worked ...and after third reboot it stopped working .

    when i type
    pon dls-provider
it writes that it compiled successfuly etc..

    when i type
    plog
it writes ip add, default gateway mask..and then line about exceeding limit ..connection terminated

Thanks in advance for your help

    Excuse my English.

Where is the limit exceeded? Is it a counter number or a file that is filled up - as in a log? Can you find this file and possibly the routine/activity that does the filling up?

Can you get to the gateway mask and understand it's purpose and actions? Sounds like a stuck marker of sorts that does not get refreshed.
