so i updated to ubuntu 9.10 from 9.04, immidiatly i noticed i could not enable desktop effects much like in 9.04. So I reverted to intels 2.4 driver as stated here: wiki.ubuntu.com/ReinhardTartler/X/RevertingIntelDriverTo2.4

now i realize that maybe im not getting the best performance when it comes to games and others...

how to i go back to the "new" intel drivers that apparently came with 9.10?? Im pretty good on linux, but still new to me so im not sure about exactly what to type into terminal...

In xorg.conf it says 'configured video device' not 'intel' or anything of that nature.

also in my sources.list it says this:

# deb//ppa.launchpad.net/siretart/ppa/ubuntu]Index of /siretart/ppa/ubuntu[ karmic main # disabled on upgrade to karmic
# deb-src //ppa.launchpad.net/siretart/ppa/ubuntu]Index of /siretart/ppa/ubuntu karmic main # disabled on upgrade to karmic

however when i first upgraded to 9.10 i could not enable desktop effects, but after doing the rollback (wich according to the sources.list has been disabled) i can enable effects, and flash video is much smoother. Strange to me...

Im also interested in figuring out how to see if my GPU is running EXA or UXA
thanks in advance
