What video card does your system use, and what driver is in use?

resolution problem
the resolution is 1280x 960 and I have tow blank areas in both side .
the monitor is :Lg flatron ez t711s
the vga card is a built in SiS Real 256E Graphics .

If you have an xorg.conf file, post the contents here so that we can have a look. If you don't have one, try creating one containing the resolutions that you want, and make sure you are using the proper video driver.
