    Help Mime Files

I down loaded Ubuntu into my regular HD as an attachment, Ububtu pernitted it. Problem is I can't open the attachment because it's in a Mime file and Windows can't open that kind of file. I'm supposed to be able to run Ubuntu from this attachment. There must be a way to open it but I don't know how. Any help very much appreciated.

The file I'm having trouble with is
    MIME Type: application/octet-stream
Can't find anything to open it with, think it is a READ ONLY file

If you can rename the file to have an iso file extension,
it will be usable by a cd burning application.
If it is already an iso extension, you are ready
to go. You do not open it as is, you need to burn it to a CD.
