I've implemented Ubuntu in my campus and so far things have gone fairly smoothly. The one problem I have come across continues to plague me.

When running updates or installs from repositories, the transfer is ridiculously slow. We're talking bytes per seconds, not even kilobytes.

Anyway, I've tried different software sources to no avail.

Downloading from websites works just fine.

Transfers on the network are just fine.

It's just the repo's.

Any ideas? Could it be a port problem?
