    formatting windows xp pro from ubuntu

    i am kinda new to ubuntu so i need a step by step guide to get this xp pro off cause it
    crashed and just screwed up i cant do anything with it inside xp so i want to delete it in
    ubuntu. i have ubuntu 9.10 i am running a Intel Pentium d processor with a 500 gig hard driveand i just want it off. can anyone help me please?

    You need gparted for that.

    Do:
    Code:
    sudo apt-get install gparted
    then
    Code:
    sudo gparted
    from the pull down menu in the top right of gparted, you can select all drives connected. Just unmount the xp partition and delete it. Then you can resize your ubuntu partition.
