    Phone Support For Linux/Ubuntu?

I was wondering if there was a phone support line for Linux users who have a question?

I have been to the Ubuntu website and noticed that they charge for support, but unfortunately $60 (Canadian) is a bit too steep for me. I realize they issue this software for free, so I don't want to criticize them for what they do, but I could really use a hand with a few issues I've been having with Ubuntu.

Does anyone know of such a phone number?

I don't think free phone support exists. Because it is live, they have to have dedicated resources for it. You can post any issues on this forum and members will try their best to help you, but it won't be as instant as phone.

    Hi,

But why not write your query here - I'm no expert myself, but if I've had problems in the past I've found forums are usually the best place for support and often more helpful than calling a helpdesk (not that I've called an Ubuntu helpdesk so can't comment on them).

I think it'll be your best option unless you wabt to pay for Ubuntu support. You might also like to try a search engine (I like google but I guess any others would do) with the words "how to" and then a brief description of your problem,

    Slàinte mhor,

    Jamie
