    Linksys USB Adaptor

I'm trying to connect my computer running Ubuntu with m existing network using a Linksys USB Wireless Adaptor (WUSB600N). I've been using this tutorial : w w w.linuxforums.org/forum/linux-tutorials-howtos-reference-material/94685-wireless-lan-linux.html and I was successful until "Device Name". I've tried both dmesg and iwconfig. When i type in the former, it says to me "usbcore: registered new interface driver ndiswrapper" (this is just the last line, i dont think the other stuff is relevant but i could be wrong who knows). When i type in iwconfig it gives me three names (lo, eth0, and pan0) but all of them say "no wireless extensions." after them. I can't proceed to the next step (with the ESSID and such) until I know the name of the adaptor. Oh and I have been using sudo so that can't be the issue. Any help would be much appreciated!!

Linksys uses many different chips in their products. The only way to determine what you really have is with a few commands. Read the thread linked to below, it explains the info needed and how to find it.
