New to linux facing problem
This is abhinava.I am totally new to linux using kubuntu 9.04. First day i have understood that this is far better than xp exept operations for users. Btw i have a problem with installing any tar.gz or dev file as it cant found all other supporting files.can u help me out.I have internet through lan but i cant configure it out.though i have put all necessary data ( ip, subnet, dns) in network mangement option. Its my another problem.

I'd recommend using synaptic or apt for installing any software that you might want, if possible.
I think your networking question is receiving replies in its own thread.oz
