How to Encrypt Private Files/Folders in Mint 7

    Hi!

I have installed several OSes and have been truly enjoying them all but lately, I decided to separate my private files and put em all in Mint 7. In connection with this, may I please ask for some guidance on how to do the following please:

    1) How to encrypt my personal folders/files inside Mint 7?
    2) How to prevent the same partition from mounting in the other partitions to prevent gaining access?
    3) If somebody has a better suggestion, I would really appreciate it.

By the way, I decided to start this thread in ubuntu since I think the solution can be closely associated with the ubunt-mint relationship. However, If the moderators feel this should go to another place, kindly do so, please.

    Thank you in advance!

    Cheers!

You can either use TrueCrypt or an Encrypted filesystem.

    Cheers,
