Hi Friends..Actually i am getting network disconnected in ubuntu...each 5 minutes the network gets diconnected and gets connected automaticallly after few seconds..i tried different cable still same...i tried continuous ping ...

network disconnects and connects!!!
Hi Friends..Actually i am getting network disconnected in ubuntu...each 5 minutes the network gets diconnected and gets connected automaticallly after few seconds..i tried different cable still same...i tried continuous ping it shows request time out..but its stays only for 5 seconds again it connects back..i tried both dhcp and assigning it statically still same....i tried disabling firewall..no go..so please help me...

I suspect it seems to be an issue with the netwrok manager...any suggestions??

Install the Wicd connection manager. It is available in the Ubuntu repositories, so use apt or Synaptic to install it. Apt and Synaptic will automatically uninstall NetworkManager when you install Wicd.
