    Ubunto in 1024x768 resolution

    hey guys

    after installing Ubuntu 9.10 on my laptop I cant see the entire screen the resolution is on 1600x1200 (4:3) and as soon as i change the resolution i cant see anything.

    Sorry that I'm not understanding properly, but can you explain the situation more clearly or in different terms, and with more details please?

    If you have an xorg.conf file, post the contents of it so that we can have a look.

    What video card are you using, and what drivers are running it?

    How are you making these changes, and what resolution are you trying to implement?

    Are you getting any error messages on-screen?

    What do you mean can't see anything after changing the resolution?
