    Graphics Issue after latest update

I'm running 9.10 on my laptop (Intel onboard graphics) and have been trouble free for the last month or so. After my updates this morning, I now get big black patches on my screen whenever I go to a graphic intensive websites. After moving the mouse around these "patches" seem to disappear.

Anyone have any similar issues or solutions ?

Seems I'm not allowed to post the images until after 15 posts !!

That issue is extremely annoying isn't it. I can understand why they've done it though. Seems random words on here turn into advertising links too.

Sorry I can't help with your main issue though.

Don't think that its an Ubuntu issue.

I'm running Chromium as my browser and as there are nightly builds so the issue might relate to that as the specific sites appear to be fine in FF.

I can understand the 15 posts issue as well but when you have a genuine issue it can be a tad frustrating.

I just noticed this on Ubuntu 9.10 too. I tried to install iTunes using wine. Whenever iTunes ran, the screen turned black. Moving the application window around cleared up most of this, but removing iTunes and not running it has solved it for me.

As for the 15 post limit on links and images. This was instituted because of the amount of spam that the forums was getting. Spammers would sign up and post a ton of spam. Banning them was too little too late. This policy has drastically cut down on the amount of spam that the forums now get, making the life of the Moderators (and Trusted Penquins) much more pleasant.

You usually don't need to post a picture or link to get help. Just describe the problem and post any error messages that you are getting.
