Network printing- some apps work, some don't
My Ubuntu 8.10 is configured to print over a home network to a Windows XP box with a HP Officejet printer. The OpenOffice apps all can print successfully, but Firefox, GNUCash and PDF document viewer can't seem to print. They give various bizarre errors such as "too many failed attempts" even on the first attempt. Nothing ever goes into the print queue from these apps. The failing apps can print to a pdf file. Any ideas?
