    Vgn-c140g

    Hello all,

I have a VAIO VGN-C140G and recently isntalled Ubuntu 9.10 on it. Are there anyone out there that have the same model and installed ubuntu on it? I've faced many problems on it. I'd like to know if anyone can help me fix them or download any missing components. Please help, I'm tired of Microsoft OS.

    Thank you all

I don't have VAIO but if you list your problems here, we will try to help you.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

When I installed ubuntu, I was able to connect to my wireless connection at home but unable to at school. Then when I tried to installed VirtualBox, I got the this error FATAL: Could not read from the boot medium! System halted. When I had Windows XP on this laptop I was able to install VirtualBox and run it smoothly. I don't Know what it is I'm missing. I've tried to install all kind of package to support it, but it's still no good.

Silly me, I didn't insert Windows xp installation cd, so it couldn't boot in VirtualBox. It's working now Now i need to figure out why my connection works at home and not at school.
