    testdisk installation help

    hi
    i have dnloaded testdisk-6.11.3 tar.bz2 file
    after extracting the archive i found that there is no configure or make file.
    i also tried cd ing to testdisk-6.11-3/linux and running 'testdisk_static' but it gives a command not found error
    please help

    The easiest and best way to run TestDisk is to run it off of a liveCD such as Partition Magic:

    Parted Magic News

    It's also a handy live disk to have on hand because of all the other great utilities on it.
