[SOLVED] GParted srewed my partitions Urgent help please
Hey guys, I was moving and resizing my Ubuntu partition and for some reason my hard drive stopped reading and royally screwed my partitions up.

Execute fdisk -l to check partition structure.
I would suggest you not to write anything or change partition structure again. Use Testdisk to recover partitions. Its available in PartedMagic LiveCD/USB. Its really easy to recover partition table using testdisk.
* Its small L in fdisk -l.It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

Dont worry, I found it.
The tool is called "teskdisk", something I owe all my data to twice over :P
Thank hell GParted does a read-only move first
@devils casper Thanks for the quick reply
I found testdisk in synaptic and restored my partitions just before you replied, thanks anyway
