Hello and Welcome.
Yes, you can use Unetbootin to install distros to the hard drive. When you start Unetbootin, you'll see a check box the says "Check here to show all drives".I do not respond to private messages asking for Linux help, Please keep it on the forums only.

My wife installed the Ubuntu remix on her new netbook and was very disappointed. It works just fine, but it wasn't what she wanted, so she reconfigured it for a full ubuntu install. I got her a unit with a big hard drive, so it wasn't a problem, disc space wise.
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
