    Exclamation blank dvds cause total freeze

    hi, im running 9.1 64bit and whenever i put in a blank dvd it freezes about the time the auto play would pop up. used to work on the 32bit version i had before...? it works fine if i put a reg cd/dvd in. it causes total lock up too, have to restart manually

    Have you tried disabling the "Autorun" for CD's?
    Or try disabling your system from auto mounting the CD.

    ive tried searching everywhere for system/preferences/removable media and storage
    but it seems that option is for 9.04. sorry im such a nooblet lol. im reading all the self help ubuntu/linux books i can find. but the wierd thing is it doesnt freeze up with a blank cd...? just a dvd

    Have you tried a different brand of DVD? Can you try these DVD's in a different computer?
