    Alrighty, so I have a dell inspiron mini. i had windows 7, and have it dual running w/ windows. the webcam worked fine on windows, but on linux, it will not work at all. on cheese, there is no preview. it takes pictures fine, but you cant see anything. on kamoso, it freezes. i recently tried camorama, and it said it couldnt find the webcam. when i ran easycam2 to try and find a driver, it said i had no compatible webcam on my laptop. please help! i want to use my webcam but dont wanna go into windows each time i do wanna use it. thanks.

    What version of Linux are you running? Dell has support for Linux on a lot of these systems - 8.04 mostly as yet, but 9.10 is starting to show up on their newer machines. You might be able to get drivers from the Dell web site for their hardware, or a version of Linux that will support your hardware better.
