    Wine

    question on WINE:

First a short backstory; there was a slight accident when I had downloaded Ubuntu from a LiveCD. Instead of creating a partition on hard drive it overwrote the entire hard drive!

Granted this may be a blessing in disguise, but I can't bring up XP to play WoW (the only game i play on the computer). So, question is, when I download WINE, how should I download WoW and how should it be executed

You may already have wine installed. It's usually in the /home/username directory and it's a hidden file so open your file manager, click on the View tab and select show hidden files to see if you have a wine directory. Open a terminal to that directory and type "winecfg".

Haven't installed it for a few years so things may have changed. Here's a link that tells how to on Ubuntu 9.10, didn't read all of it and I don't use Ubuntu so...
